4.) Sales

Surprisingly even some brand name items can be purchased at deep discount. There are stores that specialize in high quality discount merchandise. Others offer great savings during holiday or post holiday periods. Many large stores have sales or rack section where you can buy great products at fraction of the original cost.

As I mentioned before, the key is to know current Ebay prices for your products. You shouldn't buy a product because it is cheap. You must purchase only those products that you can resell on Ebay.

5.) Second hand stores

If you specialize in selling used books, clothing or collectibles, visiting second hand stores is definitely a good idea. Such stores vary by size and specialization. For instance some are run by charity organizations such as Salvation Army or Goodwill. Others are privately owned. Some of these stores offer special deals on certain days – for example 5 books for $1 on Mondays.

You should visit several second hand stores in your area to see what is available for sale. It is also helpful to ask salesmen about specials.

6.) Forfeited items

Some customers forfeit their items by failing to pay on time. They never show up to get their stuff from dry cleaners, tailors or don't pay storages to renew their lease. At some point these businesses take ownership of forfeited items. Basically these are products they don't need and might be willing to sell them at deep discount. The best way to find out if such items are available for sale is to call or visit local businesses that are likely to have such items.
