5.) Driving exam service

Your services will include taking people to MVA for permit and driving exams, and letting them drive your vehicle during the test. This is a good opportunity for someone who owns small or mid size vehicle in good condition. Usually new drivers are more comfortable driving smaller vehicles. Also these cars are better suited for exams that involve pockets, parallel parking and u-turns.

6.) Local media distribution

Local companies always need people to deliver catalogs, newspapers, phone books and advertising flyers. The best way to start is to contact your local businesses and offer your services. Some businesses need seasonal help. For instance, phone companies distribute their books about two times a year. Other local companies such as pizza and small restaurants may need your help on weekly basis.

You must be in good physical condition to succeed in this business. Some jobs involve extensive walking and heavy lifting.

7.) Large items delivery

This opportunity is for people who own trucks or large vans. Let's say a person buys a piece of furniture, dishwasher, refrigerator and store delivery is rather expensive. You can offer to deliver the item for them at half cost for example.

Hauling is another way to earn money for owners of large vehicles. There is always some demand for hauling services to remove unwanted stuff such as old furniture, broken equipment, fallen trees...

8.) Shopping service

There are people who just hate shopping or happen to be too busy to go to stores themselves. Some of them would be willing to pay a reasonable price for someone to do their shopping. You can also offer additional services such as order pick ups, return of rental items...

You must be responsible and detail oriented person to succeed in this business because people will trust you with money and personal items.
