4.) Selling other people products

There are many merchants that will pay you commission if you send a paying customer to their site. First you have to sign up as an affiliate. Then you get a special code to use as a link to your partner's site. If a person clicks a special link on your site to buy a product from your partner, you get a commission. Usually there is an Action Referral Period – specified number of days within which a purchase must be made. Let's say you signed up to promote Web Hosting Service. Their action referral period is 90 days. It means that potential customer must buy their service within 90 days from the time he followed a link from your site.

I suggest you start by signing up with Affiliate Directory such as Commission Junction, Clickabank , Linkshare or Befree. Affiliate Directory is a list of merchants in various categories. You choose merchants to do business with and Affiliate Directory will handle collecting commissions for you. For instance Commission Junction will send you a check once you accumulated at least $25 in total commissions.

5.) Other ways to make money with website

Additional opportunities to make money with your site are selling advertising space or selling website itself. In most cases these options apply only to popular websites. You must have at least a few thousands of unique visitors a month to be able to sell advertising space or attract a buyer. Sometimes buyers are interested in domain name rather than website,. In such case, your site's traffic is irrelevant.

As you can see there are number of opportunities to make money with your website. The actual amount of money you make depends on many factors such as time and effort you dedicate to building and promoting your site, interesting and useful content, ease of navigation and your ability as enterpreneur.
